    The Perfect Food Bag?

I backpack mostly in the Appalachian Mountains and surrounding foothills, so we live in respect of hungry bears and wildlife, but bear canisters and bags aren't really necessary.

For years, I've carried my food in a heavy, waterproof dry bag until I came across Hilltop Packs. Actually, I own a lot of their gear now, but it's all because of my experience with their food bag.

This thing is bomber tough and wispy-wind light and it comes with a throw bag for getting it off the ground and away from all the critters trying to steal your calories.

All for something crazy like 1.3 ounces.

I put 4 days of food in there, and I had a lot of room to spare.

Go on and get ya' one. No hesitations given.

    Great customer service

I wrote a review (below) about the buckles not securing properly. It turns out that there was a bad batch of buckles and I missed the email they sent out about the problem. Once they knew I had a problem, they sent out replacement bags. Top notch!

    Perfect

This is my second bag, but not due to problems with the original... Turns out when packing for my last trip, I left the bag too close to the edge and, uhh, my dog ate the last one. Got mine with the flat bottom in a nice unobtrusive brown. I use it for backpacking and bikepacking. Fits into my pack and front bag on the bike perfectly. Nice and durable, so you don't have to be worried about thrashing it while hanging it up in the trees. Like the title says, pretty much perfect.

    Crazy light and strong

I wanted something that would be super tough and light. This appears to be it. I will update my review after a few trips

    Sturdy and light

I got the small brown with the flat bottom option. So far, love it! I recently used this to hang my food for a three night, four day trip. I had plenty of space for all my food, drinks, and toiletries. Granted, I only had one commercial meal (dinner) in there but still. If you're packing your own meals, you could probably fit 5-6 days worth of food. Ecopak feels tough but is light. The buckles appear to be made of quality plastic. And the red hang loop is well sewn in.
