I use the Essentia 1L water bottles. They have a just-right, snug fit.
I really like this water bottle holder. I have tried afew others, this is my favorite.
My only minor observation is that the retention shock cord and adjuster are a bit of overkill. I replaced mine with a lighter-weight shock cord and adjuster.
Great for smart water bottles, the Essentia bottle is just a tad wider than the smart water bottles, yet still works great! The front mesh pocket is a really nice touch.
This is a great product. Inexpensive, well made, and durable. I used this for food on our recent hikes in Acadia NP and Franconia Notch State Park. The other folks on the trip all asked about it.

I am pleased with the custom bear bag that I ordered a few months back. It is well made and a nice size that can accommodate my food, snacks and other scented items. The best part is the picture collage of my pups, especially in honor of my beloved white Pyrenees lab mix Fraankie.
Bought one for me and one for my son. Simple, inexpensive, lightweight, packable. I do love that the pocket on the front is a kangaroo pocket also. I've got the 3xl at 8.8 oz and the L at 7.4 oz. Hilltop always makes durable, excellent quality items. I would trust anything from this company. I'm sure they'd stand behind their products if there was an issue. I wouldn't know, because I've never had an issue with any of their products!
Light and sturdy! Great size for all our food for 3 days. Light material that’s translucent so you can see what’s inside. Hangs great from a bear line. Love the extra pocket for my camp spoon! I’ve never had a good spot for it until now.
