Ultralight Cord Winder (Bear Bag Line Organizer)

I don't know how I lived as long as I did without this cord winder. Endless systems of trying to keep my bear line free from tangles. This little gizmo makes it so easy. I keep it in a dyneema pouch with my rock sack, dog bone ( you'll absolutely want one of these too!) and locking biner. And stow it in my flat bottom bright orange food sack. I'm so grateful for the Hilltop packs crew!
Free tip. If you have trouble throwing your line high enough, use the end of your trekking pole as a launcher. Works so great!

This is great for winding up finer cords and so easy to see because it glows in the dark. It also has several options to place the tail end of the cord so it doesn’t unwind. So many cord winders don’t have good places to for the end of the cord or the cord comes out which it doesn’t on this winder. Now we just need bigger winders just like this for thicker cords!

SImple and does the job intended. I did lose it twice on my first trip using it which made me thnk of Buckley for some reason. Thanks to the bright orange for allowing it to be found both times.

I have an orange cord winder which I have been using. When I saw the Glow in the Dark cord winder, I bought it so I could find my bear bag much easier. I really like how light it is and fits in the rock throw bag for storage.

These are great for bear hang cordage.

Perfect little cord winder. Easily allows you to wind up cord with no issues. It also fits perfectly in the rock sack.

What can you say about it, it simply works! Fits perfectly in the bag with the 50 ft. of Cord wrapped on it, cannot complain at all.

for a few grams my micro paracord is organized! ordered 2 more... 1 for bear bag kit, 1 for ridge line and 1 for spare rope... the holes are perfect to store small hilltop packs biners. strongly recommand this.

Finally, a cord winder that fits my 2.2mm reflective line. I tried other cord winders, and my cord did not fit. So much easier to keep my cord organized and easy to find in my bear bag or on the ground.

This little doodad weighs basically nothing and eliminates an annoying hassle with bear hangs. And thanks for making it orange so it’s less likely to get lost.

Fits right in my throw sack and keeps my cord from getting all tangled. Thankfully it's orange. I dropped it in the rocks/boulders when hanging my bear bag. It was easy to find.

Wonderful product to help keep your cord organized. There's nothing worse than spending 5-10 minutes detangling you cord before hanging your food bag. Not only are you tired from the hike but you're also dealing with rain/ snow and pitch dark environment. Also, if you're in a rush when taking down your food bag, this makes it easier to maintain your cord organized in seconds. It's not heavy so definitely worth the money.

You don't know what you need until you find it. And YES, you need this. I am so over tangled, heavy cordage. It's perfect with the 2.2 cord.
