A Tyvek Groundsheet and Tent Footprint That Weighs Almost Nothing

Your tent floor is the priciest thing you're about to drag over rocks, roots, and pine needles. A Tyvek groundsheet (some folks say ground cloth, some say tent footprint) is a cheap, featherlight layer that takes the abuse so your tent doesn't have to. Ours start at 0.69 oz, and the Jumbo is a DIY-size sheet you cut down to fit your tent. Made by us in the USA.

Tyvek is tough, hard to rip, and resistant to mold and mildew. It packs down small and stays quiet in the wind. Small, Medium, and Large also make great camp mats for your shoes and gear.

SIZE USES
Small: Personal small groundsheet or door mat for laying out gear out at camp. Perfect place to put your shoes on. Small but functional.
Medium: Same use as our small but more room for more gear.
Large: Perfect for larger camp setups with multiple people and more gear.
Jumbo: This is your DIY size. This is the size you want for tent footprints or ground sheets for any 2 person tent or smaller. You should cut this sheet down just a few inches smaller than your tent so that it doesn't catch any rain.

Note About Holes Cut Into Corners
Holes are cut into the corners of the small, medium and large groundsheets. The jumbo does not have any precut holes. These holes are perfect for staking out sheets when needed. These holes are NOT reinforced to keep weight down. Not intended to be hung as tarp from these holes. Ground use only.

ABOUT OUR TYVEK® SHEETS
Our sheets come unbranded without any printing. Tyvek has long been used as a relatively inexpensive material for things like groundsheets. It's resistant to mold, mildew, and dust particles while also being hard to rip or tear. Spunbonded Fabric weight ~1.62oz/yd ² (55 gsm)

Which size do I need for a tent footprint? Grab the Jumbo (60"x96"). It fits any 2 person tent or smaller. Cut it a few inches smaller than your tent floor so rain doesn't run off the sheet and pool underneath.

Is a Tyvek ground cloth waterproof? We call it water resistant, not waterproof. It's built to take a beating from the ground and resist mold, mildew, and dust, which is exactly the job of a groundsheet.

Do I really need a tent footprint? If you want your tent floor to last, yes. A footprint is the cheapest repair you'll never have to make, and the Jumbo adds just 7.8 oz before you trim it.

What are the small, medium, and large sheets for? Camp mats. Lay out your gear, park your muddy shoes, or give the dog a spot. The corner holes let you stake them down.

Can I hang it as a tarp? Nope. The corner holes aren't reinforced to keep weight down, so these are for ground use only.
