I love love LOVE my food bag! I spent so much time waffling on getting it because I had other food bags, but I finally broke down after seeing how many people other on trail had one. I got my food bag in large ahead of a long distance hike planned later this year and I really love the print quality on the D50T material. After taking it on a weekend trip, it held up to multiple visits to and from the hang over the period of two days. My only concern would be over the abrasion resistance and waterproofness over time when rolling it up and down.
The bag is great quality. I love the flat bottom. The added spoon stash is fantastic for me not having to empty my bag to find the spoon 😆. The print on the bag is not only hilarious but looks great.

I already had the large food bag, but wanted the smaller one for shorter trips. Shipping was super quick. I also ordered a tent stake bag to replace the one I somehow misplaced on my last backpacking trip. I have an upcoming trip planned, and explained my situation to them. I just took the Yo Bear V2 Large Food Bag with Spoon Stash from Hilltop Packs on a section hike of the Appalachian Trail, and honestly — I’m obsessed.
The size was perfect and it easily fit all my food without feeling bulky in my pack. The Challenge D50T fabric really lives up to the hype — lightweight but tough, and after a few days of rain and humidity, my food stayed completely dry. I also love that it’s made in the USA and feels super high quality in every detail, from the taped seams to the heavy-duty hanging loop.
The Spoon Stash pocket might be my favorite part — such a simple but genius idea. No more digging to the bottom of the bag looking for my utensil after a long day on trail. It stayed right where it should be, and the extra 0.1 oz is absolutely worth it.
And can we talk about how fun these pre-printed designs are? Backpacking gear can start to look pretty similar after a while, but this one adds real personality to my setup — I even got a few compliments at camp.

I got the large food bag with a fun print and a spoon pouch. The size is plenty big enough for anything. I’m ever likely to do even if I’m carrying food for more than one person. The spoon pouch is very helpful because nobody wants to be digging for a spoon when it’s time to eat!
