Chair Ultralight Stuff Sacks

We have owned Helinox Chair One’s for many years. After sinking in the forest duff enough times, we found Chair Buddies which are small feet that prevent sinking. The problem was the bag for the chair was not big enough for the Chair Buddies and the chair. The Hilltop Chair One bag solved our problem and now we have room for the chair and feet all together making sure they are always with us. Fast forward to now, since we are in our 70’s and trying to lighten our loads where we can, we purchased the Helinox Chair Zero’s and the ground sheet that you can purchase to prevent sinking it. Same issue with packing the chair and the ground sheet, so we ordered a couple of the Hilltop Chair Zero bags so we can carry them together. It worked as well. Products are well made and large enough to make it easy to get the chairs and extras in. Perfect replacements for the bags they come in from Helinox.

The bag for the helinox chair zero is a perfect fit. Bag feels durable enough but still lighter than the Velcro strap I used previously. Fits great on the outside of my Arc Haul

I got one of these to replace my lost one several years back and it fit perfect. Then I was on the Mt Whitney trail in June 2026 and gust of wind made off with that one and now I'm on my second one.

High quality and perfect for my need

Do you need a dyneema chair bag? Probably not. Will it keep your chair dry, save a few grams, and otherwise look pretty badass? Absolutely.

It’s slightly larger than the OEM chair bag, but this is actually pretty helpful if you have a groundsheet to fit into the bag. I sewed on a few webbing loops to mount to the outside of my pack.

Support a small company and look cool doing it. Nuff said

A rouge ember landed directly on the zipper of my chair bag on my last backpacking trip. I was surprised when I saw this bag while perusing the hilltop website one day. I followed the directions according to the suggestion to get the largest bag size unless I had the specific chairs listed. My chair is just a random one I bought, which is not the lightest, but still only 2 pounds and has plenty of life left in it, so I decided this was worth a try. This is actually the first thing I’ve ever bought from hilltop, and I was totally surprised at the strength and lightness of this Dyneema material and the sizing was perfect. I can’t wait to order more from Hilltop:)

After a year and half of use the seems are loosening so I don’t know how much longer it’ll last but it still does the job for now.

A friend and I both have this sack. I use mine on an REI Flex Lite, hers is on the helinox. A vast improvement on what was supplied by the manufacturers. REI provided a giant, mesh sack. This is lighter, keeps the dirt in, and protects the chair. I had mine strapped horizontally on the top of a GS40, hers was vertical in the side pocket of a Mariposa.

The sack is definitely water resistant but after a full day of slogging in varying degrees of rain and wind both of our chairs had wet spots. It's possible the water came in through the drawstring opening, as opposed to leakage through the fabric or seams.

It's definitely better than the original mesh sack, but in conditions like we had, wrap it in a plastic garbage bag if you want to be sure that chair is dry when you get to camp.

A fully waterproof stuff sack for my chair. For real you can run this thing under the sink and it just brushes off the water on full blast like it’s nothing.
