    Apex Giant grill, small.

I bought the grill earlier this year and took it on a four day hike on the Appalachian Trail in Virginia (my final section hike 🙂). The first night I grilled some small steaks over the coals of a campfire. The grill is easy to assemble and disassemble. Plenty of oil has to be applied to it to minimize sticking. It did warp a bit (just the grill itself, not the legs). I found that the grill fits perfectly in the base of my Kelly Kettle Scout water boiler, so it will replace the much heavier Kelly Kettle grill.
The warping did not affect the assembly of the unit. I recommend it for hikers who are weight conscious, but maybe not a thruhiker traveling alone. Sharing it with a partner would make it worthwhile for any hike, especially if you like grilled meats.
