For Christmas Fun, I ordered 3 bags: a Bear Bag (Pinata w/flat bottom and spoon stash), a Ditty bag, "larege" Zip Bag Poo emoji, plus , and finally from the Bargain Bags, I got a Stake (Steak) Bag. All arrived quickly, in time for Christmas, with no issues. Construction on all was solid, no-sus no-muss perfect. Hardware was also smooth clip or zip action all around. l am delighted, and Hilltop Pack will be the first I think of when I next need anything outdoors.
I mainly ordered because I needed a food hang sack, and added the others as a trade for shipping cost and for the grins...so I will talk about the bear bag more as the others were fun fluff but serve to lighten my load from the Sea to Summit bags I already have that are just not the size I need...if I have to carry it, I welcome a smile after a long walk so a smiling poo or a (picture of) a steak as I set up camp.
The large 16x19, square bottom Bear Bag top snap/roll closure is solid but lightweight, operating smoothly and as expected. In addition to the flat bottom I opted for the spoon stash, operating under I only want to order this once, so go big or go home, no regrets and hope this is the last bag I have to order--so get what I want, right? If you use a spork with Pointy Bits or has a serrated/knife edge, I would utilize the spoon stash for other important bits instead, to avoid shredding it. I's a black web square adhered right behind the word "pinata" and is easily visible through the print, mildly distracting from the fun, but I know which side to fish for spoonage or whatever I have decided to stash in that pocket. The web seems delicate, so not sure how durable it will be in the long run. The non printed/vivid bear bags come with a line/carbiner set, I wish that where included or an upgrade option, as it was not something I found I was able to order separately. The print is not opaque, you can see through and even read your packages through the bag.
**** Bag, Large, was a delight in that there are two loops to secure it if I want. I didn't know the loops came with, like air, and a nice smooth zip. You can clearly read the writing on the items within the bag, so the yellow is quite translucent.
The steak (stake) bag was also a miniature model of perfection in construction, and makes me smile. I'll use the less interesting original for a few other things. The print is photo quality, and I cannot see the stakes thru the print for this bag.
