      Top Quality

New to waist packs, this is the first one I have tried. Mostly because of the adjustability. I like the ability to use for a few items, or many. The construction and design are Awesome!! Can’t wait to get it in the woods!!

      It works!

I haven't had the chance to hike with it yet but that will happen soon enough. I replaced the removable belt of my GG Kumo 36 with it. It tied in nicely.

I just started wearing a **** pack this past hiking season to lessen the load on my back with items I use often as well as my emergency kit (so that I always have it on me). The problem was that the bags out there were either (a) too small to carry what I wanted to carry or (b) too cumbersome and bulky with a ton of additional weight in pockets and zippers.

So, when I came across this "****" from Hilltop Packs, I was intrigued. Would the material hold up? Would a simple rolltop enclosure be functional on the move? Would it look ridiculous?

I'm happy to report that all of the above are true ... even maybe looking a little "different" -- but I'll take it because, honestly, it's perfect.

Just carrying your phone and snacks? Well, first of all buy a pack strap for your phone, but if you want it in the ****, just roll it down, baby. Want to use it as a functional hip belt for a little day hike, throw your snacks; sawyer filter, and a water bottle into the thing and roll it down (albeit less cinching).

An additional advantage is that it's really lightweight and waterproof ... which you won't appreciate until you slip on a rock while crossing a stream (which happened). I was wet, but my food and items were not.

It comes with two sets of straps, one for your waist and the other to attach it to your pack. I'll be honest, I haven't tried attaching it to my pack yet. I just made it a part of my load system and wear it above my hip belt -- but you do you, boo boo.

      100% endorsed. Go getcha' one.

      Brutally functional

This replaces a ZPacks multi-pack whose zipper failed after 2 years of hard use, and a much more fashionable hip bag that was just too small. This seems dam4 near perfect functionally, sturdy and versatile. I only wish it came in fabrics that might be less crinkly, or more attractive like say waxed canvas, with webbing that is also more skin friendly (sewn instead of hard-singed edges, for example).

thank you for the awesome review!

Lite for its size, compact when not used

It holds my camera with a telephoto lens quite well, it holds objects quite well, easy to use, when not in use it is very compact, stitching looks excellent and overall, I’m very satisfied
