Food Bag (ultralight DYNEEMA) Bear bag

This bag can fit much more than I expected! And it seems to be odor proof. Not sure about how it handles itself when in a bear hang, but the large is a great size and can fit 7 days of food easily. Exactly what I’m looking for and super lightweight.

I ordered the large Dyneema Food Bag during the last sale. Due to Hilltop Packs being a USA business with a small production staff, I had to wait several weeks for it to arrive. When it arrived, I realized it was worth the wait. The large version should fit all my food with room to spare. I highly recommended this quality product. I might order the smaller version in the future for solo weekend backpacking trips that require less food.

Bought product a week before a backpacking trip and it arrived just in time. Hilltop packs customer service is almost too good. Everyone I talked to was super helpful answering questions. I had this bear bag previously and absolutely loved it. Lightweight, sturdy, and easy to use, however it sadly got misplaced during a move. I didn't know about this until I was less than two weeks away from a thru-hike. I loved it enough to order a new one, unsure if it would get here in time but was willing to take the risk knowing it would be here when I got back. The Hilltop Packs team was amazing and expedited the order at my request, getting it shipped a day after I asked. Cudos to the Hilltop Team!! Thanks for expediting my order, it arrived in time a 90 mile adventure with bear hang poles. The large bag held six days food and other items. Hanging was easy. The rolled top, once clipped forms a sturdy loop.

Used the food bag recently on a week long backpacking trip in NC. I was reminded by how much I like this piece of gear and bought another one for my son after we returned. I think the spoon sleeve is genius and recommend adding it. Bags’s dimensions are spot on for fitting in the top of my pack. It comes out and has everything I need for meal prep minus my stove and water. This bag was key to keeping organised and efficient while in the daily routine of trail life. I just love it!

This is a wonderful food bag. Large enough to hold my food kit and food and super light yet strong. Great workmanship on the bag, I love it!

Great bag! Flat bottom option is perfect as it makes it easy to load and unload. Fits 5 days of food just fine and easy to get in and out of pack. Definitely a good purchase

Not sure why it took me so long to find Hilltop, but sure glad I did. Everything about this bear bag makes sense to me. Having a flat one from another company, it was always frustrating to have the bulky food not slide the whole way down, and thus decreasing the total amount the bag could hold. The square bottom option on my Hilltop bag solves that problem nicely!
And I thought I was the only one fishing for my long spoon every mealtime. Seems like it should be easy to locate, but isn't. Again, the folks at Hilltop came up with a simple solution. I ordered my bag with a spoon stash, and won't be fishing for the spoon again!

Glad I bought this one. I have purchased DCF bags from other vendors. It took slightly longer to receive this one, but it definitely is the best quality of all the bags I have. I bought the large for a weeklong trip this summer and it looks like the size will be perfect.
