Backpack Hanger (Gear Storage Hook for Packs)

I was so sick and tired of my Mystery Ranch District 24 constantly slipping and falling off of its IKEA hanger in my closet. Not wanting to mount yet another wall hook in my small apartment, I fortunately came across this nifty little hanger and it worked like a charm. I trust that it will keep my biggest bag indefinitely suspended midair with ease. A+!

I love these. My packs were scattered on the floor previously and now neatly hung on a rod. Awesome!

Great to have if traveling and staying a night before in a hotel to hang, lite weight adds nothing to have in the bottom of your pack

If you’re tired of your pack slipping off a regular coat hanger or you’re hesitant about hanging your pack by its grab handle for long periods of time, this pack hanger may be something to consider. I found them to be solidly manufactured and their design keeps the shoulder straps on my pack securely constrained. I would definitely recommend them to others.

One of those little frills on a night out. So handy to get in pack. It’s nice to have it off the pack off the ground too. It’s a fav. Sturdy too.

I ordered two, but I plan on grabbing more at another time. These hangers work as intended. As backpackers buying from a backpacking company, we all likely know what our packs weigh, so staying within the weight limit for these hangers is pretty easy.

I tried posting a photo for the review, but upon trying to post one photo I'd gotten an error stating the upload took too long and I should upload only one at a time. (the upload was only taking about 2 seconds to reach 99% completion before the error and was indeed only one photo)

Anyway, each of my packs are in the range of 10-15 lbs that I have hanging from these hangers and I have zero concerns about the hangers failing.

These are dense and sturdy little tools that keeps the backpacking gear obsession stay organized. I started with two just to see if I would like them first and I do - so I'll definitely be grabbing more down the road.

I did need to cinch the shoulder straps tight to be able to hang the packs, but beyond that, while they are not difficult to take off the hangers, accidentally knocking packs off of them is not likely. Possible? Of course - it's a hanger, but you'd have to be pretty gruff to make that happen.

The one thing I'd note is making sure the rack or dowel used to hang the packs is capable of holding the weight of the packs.

But now my gear closet has packs that are ready for adventure that are easy to grab and go. No more digging through the pile of packs at the bottom of the closet to grab the one I'm looking for.

I initially ordered two of the Apex Giant Backpack Hangers for storing a day pack and an overnight pack then ordered two more after realizing just how great they are for storing even larger packs. Along with providing a flat surface for the shoulder straps (unlike a traditional clothes hanger), the thickness of the hanger is appreciated. I choose not to store my packs with gear in them but there's no doubt that these are strong enough for those who do.

I use this for backpacks and plate vests. It is plenty strong without being overweight. The ears at each end keep shoulder straps from sliding off.

I've been hanging backpacks in my closet for a while; it's a great place, but regular plastic hangers break under the weight. This hanger has solved that!!

If you like organization, this works well. Strong and looks like it will last.
