Liability Waiver & Release of Liability

Event: Hilltop Packs "On The Hill" Spring 2026

Dates: April 10–12, 2026

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in the "On The Hill" event involves hiking, camping, and outdoor activities on rugged terrain. I acknowledge that these activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Physical exertion and fatigue.
  • Uneven terrain, slips, trips, and falls.
  • Weather-related injuries (hypothermia, heat exhaustion, etc.).
  • Encounters with local wildlife or insects.
  • Risks associated with campfire use and primitive camping.

I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Hilltop Packs LLC, its employees, and the Private Landowner (including their heirs and assigns) from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action for personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death arising out of my participation in this event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Covenant Not to Sue

I agree that I will not initiate any lawsuit or mountain any legal claim against Hilltop Packs or the Landowner for any injuries or damages sustained during the course of this event.

4. Property Respect & "Leave No Trace"

I understand this event takes place on private property. I agree to follow all "Leave No Trace" principles, use the provided "cat hole" method for waste, and respect the land. I agree to be held personally responsible for any intentional damage I cause to the property.

5. Medical Consent

In the event of an emergency, I authorize the organizers to secure medical treatment for me if I am unable to do so myself. I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with such medical care or emergency transport.

Participant Acknowledgment

I have read this waiver in its entirety and fully understand its terms. I understand that I am giving up substantial legal rights by digitally signing it. I sign this document freely and voluntarily.
